The Pouch ConceptDuring a trip to India, Waterwerkz founder Adam Green had his 'eureka moment' and realised how flexible packs filled with healthy drinks in vending machines could work... He had looked at the vending industry and been struck by how Inspiration came from witnessing street vendors selling water in plastic bags to people who could not afford bottled water.
Having taken the first steps to patent the concept and seeing the potential of the opportunity, he left his job in the city in 2004 and founded Waterwerkz as a company dedicated to developing technology around the concept........... |
Making it happen Over the next year or so, Waterwerkz grew and ultimately became a subsiduary of a joint venture between The Green Drinks Company and IMI plc. The business was joined by Geoff Read, founder of Ballygowan Water, Steven Jenkins, ex Mars and Foursquare and Ian Bidmead , ex Crane Merchandising Systems and IMI Cornelius . Recognising the need for leading edge, strategic partners to bring this exciting concept to market, Waterwerkz has worked closely with Sanden Vendo, global leader in cold drink vending machines, and IMI Cornelius, world leading drink dispense manufacturer. Combining the consumer benefits of healthy, packaged cold drinks with the operational savings of post mix dispense, Pouchlink has become the most outstanding innovation in the drinks vending market for many years. |
